I know that this blog is supposed to be a "fun" blog but there's this thing that's been bugging me a lot lately. It's an issue some of us take for granted, some of us take seriously and some of us ignore completely. It's about Trust.

I typed in "trust" in the search bar on dictionary.com and of course, I shouldn't be surprised, there was about 24 meanings. Hmm.. for a small word, it sure has a big meaning.

trust –noun

1. reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence.

It's not right if I categorize myself solely as someone who takes trust seriously because the truth of the matter is, with all the sugar coatings taken out, sometimes I do take trust for granted and sometimes I do ignore it completely. If you don't agree to this, then you're either perfect or a robot :) So why is it that some people place trust on an equivalent level as love? Does trust make love? (no pun intended pervs) Does trust make friends? Or does trust make us, us?

I think that trust is powerful, it can make you or it can break you. When you give someone your trust, it's like giving them a part of you. So technically, if you have a group of people you trust, you give each of them little parts of you and ultimately, your life depends on them. Trusting someone can be likened to baring it all, going naked. The emotions you show are raw, the things you say are real, the memories you share are valid and you don't have to put on a face. It's natural for us to trust because without relying on each other as humans, we'll all be like blind people walking with no direction. I think that in our lives, there are only a handful of people we truly trust.

Trust is tricky. Trusting is risky. A person I met yesterday said a quote I think is worth emphasizing, "Assess the risk."

November is coming to an end and I start to frown a little more. It won't be too long before our last year as high school students begin. Before we know it, we'd be writing new year's resolutions and oathing to fulfill them, counting down seconds to bidding 2008 goodbye.

So i've made plans, we all have. Plans to make the best out of our holidays. But with people coming and leaving the country at different times, it's really hard to have dates when we all could gather. I'm pretty sure i'm going to miss a lot of good times but i'd probably have good times with the people i haven't seen in months too.

So before we all head for different destinations or no destination at all, I'd wish for two things from all of us ( in which i could attend) :

1) A day filled with board games and more games.

2) A party, be it Hakim's or the beach or anything at all.

There's actually more but that's what i want to have during the first half of December.

Zul, Peapot, Hakim, Eric... do blog please.

And i kind of secretly partly hope that you guys won't make it that far for the Explore Venture so we could spend more time doing other stuff :p Good luck team C'est La Vie, and um, something La Vita and Bughi or whatever.

okay.. i'm just kidding. i am proud to say i am not one of them haha

in this post, i would like reveal some of the fascinating facts having these fab jabz around almost every day in your life.

Everyday is christmas - why? well, it's simple. as the name suggests, they are jablaiz and most of the time, what they talk about is MEN ( this exludes eric, i hope) and so, everyday they indirectly shower you with anything men-related! like how much ziqah has a penchant for guys with mata sepet ( this includes eric, though however he is ziqah's last last last resort) or how izzy likes to curse those brazen hussies for liking any men she likes or how just seasonal izzah is. i'm not sure about eric, all i know about him is he writes poem. =) all in all, these people bring joy thus christmas !

so what does this jabber have to say? I say that...

being single is fun because:
1. I do whatever I like without being scared of silly jealousy and boyfriend issues
2. I can listen to songs and have a million guys to picture instead of just one
3. My 'I love you' is unlimited ;)
4. I have my money all to myself
5. I don't have the responsibility to always be there for someone, I bet it gets tiring no?
6. I am always available for my friends and our ritual hangouts
7. I don't have to worry about the uncertainties of the male chipmunk brain (no fence boys)
8. I am not bind by a short leash or chain therefore I am free as a bird

being single is not fun because:
1. Having someone get jealous actually makes you smile
2. Music sounds so much better when directed to one person
3. 'I love you' has more meaning than you can ever imagine
4. Sharing makes all the memories so much better
5. Being there for each other helps get you through the day
6. He suddenly becomes your bestfriend and it's nice when he gets along with your friends

The Daily Life Of A Jablai

First thing she does when she wakes up is check her phone. Most of the time, she only sees her wallpaper, a picture of her and her fellow jablais and friends. If she's lucky, she sees one new message. But it is most probably one of her fellow jablais.

She hesitates to go to school, because there is nothing that drives (not in a drive-a-car sense) her to school. Only (but of course) her fellow jablais and free education. There is none that makes her excited to finish class, so that she can bump into that other someone. That's why you usually see her being the last out of class and walking in corridors looking oh so mundane.

You find her concentrating in class and doing work so quickly and neatly. Because she has no one to day dream about and no one to scribble names on papers to.

At home, she comes online and chats with (yeap you guessed it) her fellow jablais. She rarely goes out and usually sleeps early because she doesn't have anyone to have late night convos with apart from... her fellow jablais.

One word to describe her day?
SINGLE.

Isn't it nice to have someone to wake up to, someone greeting you a good morning. Someone that drives you to do things you don't normally, but you don't care because the other won't think of you differently? Someone whose "it's okay" can mean the world to you. Someone you can always count on to accompany you do things you've always wanted to do. Someone you can be so open to. Someone who can motivate you to study during exams, and someone who you can text when you're having a break (credits to Zah). Someone you go to sleep thinking of..

Learning from experience, this is what I say:
Don't take your other half for granted.

This blog is so emo that people might think we're goths which we are not! (except for hakim) So as Lil Miss Rainbow I've put my foot down and decided to add some colour to this blog. Everyone's down, depressed, sad, heartbroken, miserable and everything like it.

Main reason: 54 students of MS from my batch are leaving.

Yes. 54. Take a deep breath and process that figure.

I know I don't look and sound sad and depressed and all that, but deep down I am. I really am. But then, my time with my soon-to-be-leaving friends is very short.

So I'd rather not waste my time with them by being gloomy and all that. I'm trying to make the best of this inadequate and already-becoming-less-and-less-as-I'm-typing time I have left with them. I'm trying to create more memorable, fun and unforgettable moments with my friends before they actually leave. I don't want them to remember me as the gloomy and depressed one before they fly off to start a new life.

We all know this time will eventually come. We know that nothing lasts forever. God knows what's gonna happen to all of us in the future. Our friendships, our relationships, our friends, our families. But, we know we're supposed to make the most of it before it all ends.

Therefore, I'll save the tears and the sadness for when the time actually comes. Till then, I'm gonna be happy and I'm gonna be strong. You all should too. If not for yourself, then do it for your soon-to-be-leaving friends or loved ones.

And here's part of the lyrics of Mika's Happy Ending. It's beautiful and it is absolutely true.

why do we let time change us? why do we let people come in between us? why don't you just see that as much as nothing lasts forever, we're not aiming for forever remember? we're aiming to just be with each other at the present moment, what matters most is now, why can't people see that?

sure, the future is important but let's not get too caught up in the future and all the events that will happen that we forget the present is still going on, and the 'stop' button has not been pressed.

I remember that night we stayed up so late. All the stupid suggestions for names we made for this blog. And our stupid dreams of winning the Simpur bloggies award :p. And our many ideas about the rules. And layout ideas.

The same night was the eve of my camping trip and I stayed up late to chat with you guys :) You guys told me to skip it and were worried I'd make new poklen friends who'd replace you guys :p

I remember all our nightly long group convos with 7 people or more. Where we'd take hours to agree on something, especially on the next outing, cos we kept getting carried away by other useless things.

And remember all the things we did last holiday? All the stuff we tried out instead of just going to Gadong. The bowling, DVD Marathon, JP, and more. It's high time for us to try out new things again, shall we?

MSN seems emptier now. Nights seem quiter and less looked forward to.

I say, bring the old LnF (that time called "the circle" :p) back!

so here i am. a co-owner of this blog. trying to revive this blog.

the reason why we're not even updating this blog is because we're very busy. yes, we're very busy people. busy with life, school, love, scholarships, picking our noses, taking pictures, procrastinating, reminiscing, farting, partying, dancing and so on and so forth.

the thing is, we're not as tight as we were back then. back when we used to have long and random group convos. y'all remember those days when we were discussing of what to name this blog? it took us hours man.

i miss those long group convos. when everyone was just someone. not someone else's other half. but i guess everyone's just busy with their own thangs now. sighh.
